Fantasy Football Week 7

October 25th, 2009 · No Comments

Heading into week 6 I had bad match-ups so I was expecting to lose. After the 1 o’clock games I had a decent lead and still had the same amount of players left as my opponent. I got Brady’d. My record now stands at 4-2. Week 7 does not look any better as my opponent has great match-ups. Week 7 byes: Ravens, Broncos, Lions, Jaguars, Seahawks and Titans. The Titans may never want to come off their bye as they were obliterated by the Patriots last week.

Game Of The Week-Minnesota at Pittsburgh. Look for this to be an aerial assault by both teams as each have great run stopping defenses. This is a huge test for Brett Favre and the Vikings as they try to win on the road in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh 31-17. Too many turnovers by the Vikings and Big Ben will have a big day throwing the ball.

Game Of The Weak-Buffalo at Carolina. The Bills had so much hope coming into this season only to get a solid dose of reality, they stink. T.O. has been a catastrophic disappointment. Only thing good about this game is if you have Deangelo Williams on your fantasy team. Look for him to break the 100 yd mark with 2 scores. Carolina 24-10

Upset Special-Last week I had the Jets being upset by the Bills and this week is no different. The Raiders will upset the Jets, 20-16. The Jets have come back to earth on both sides of the ball. Traveling across the country is no picnic either just ask the Philadelphia Eagles.

In The Huddle-Going to keep it simple this week. Maroney 90 yds 1 TD against the abysmal Tampa Bay Bucs. Aaron Rodgers 350 yds 3 Td’s. Both Panther running backs. Any offensive player on the Colts as they had 2 weeks to prepare for the dead St. Louis Rams. Manning is not stat whore like Brady so look for the Colts to get up big early on and take it easy with throwing the ball. The Colts have class while the Pats have none. Colts 34-13.

On The Bench-This week is one of those weeks where you can pretty much start your normal roster without much tinkering. No recommended sits.

Now Or Never-Matt Forte has done nothing so far this season. A big game against an improved Bengals defense would quiet some of the naysayers including me. LT may be headed to splits-ville if he can’t produce 125 yards and 1 score against the Chiefs who he has done well against in the past.
